Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Thierry Henry and 7 Players Linked to January Moves

The January transfer window is fast approaching and there are more rumours concerning Arsenal transfers.

The African Cup of Nations will affect the Gunners as they will be missing both Gervinho and Maroune Chamakh for about a month.

Robin Van Persie has proven to be the team's only real goal-scoring threat and there has been speculation that a reinforcement will arrive.

The full-backs in the squad are all currently on the treatment table and Wenger may not want to continue spreading his central defenders so thin. A signing may be made for that position as well.

Casemiro

According to Talksport, Wenger will continue to add youth and talent to the squad in the form of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro.

Casemiro was one of Brazil's noteworthy performers in the recent South American Youth Championship and has done well for his club Sao Paulo as well.

The young midfielder is adept at both defensive and attacking play and could be a good contributor to Arsenal in the future.

Hugo Rodallega

The Metro reports that Hugo Rodallega is a potential replacement for Marouane Chamakh in January.

If that were the case, Wigan would be set to lose another one of its top attacking threats in the space of two transfer windows (Charles N'Zogbia's departure to Aston Villa being the other).

Arsenal does need the help in the forward line and Rodallega is versatile enough to play on either wing as well.

John Guidetti

Another potential target for Arsenal—according to Caughtoffside.com—is Manchester City's on-loan youngster John Guidetti.

The report goes on to mention the strikers impressive tally of 11 goals in 12 games for his loan team Feyenoord.

It would probably be a lot easier for Arsenal to get a younger forward such as Guidetti, but a proven player may be the better option.

Wayne Bridge

According the Guardian, Wayne Bridge could be sought on loan to help Arsenal overcome its full-back crisis.

Wayne Bridge would be a decent choice for the time as he is experienced and would surely not mind moving on loan considering his current position at Manchester City.

If Arsenal were to consider a move, they would possibly have to deal with other suitors who would most likely offer the English international a full-time move.

Ederzito Lopes

With the striker position being seen as the most obvious need for the team, apart from full-back, more and more options are being brought to attention.

This time the reports concern African-born striker Ederzito Lopes. Lopes may apparently be available to sign for free, which makes him a very good candidate—from a financial standpoint—if he impresses Arsenal scouts.

Tomas Rosicky

Tomas Rosicky could be one Arsenal player out the door in January. It seems Tomas Rosicky could be a potential candidate for Wolfsburg if Felix Magath gets his way.

Rosicky has seem some decent playing time for the Gunners so far this campaign and helped the team in its last-minute win over Aston Villa recently.

Thierry Henry

Saving the best for last? It will be really interesting  to see if anything does become official where Thierry Henry and an Arsenal move is concerned.

Arsene Wenger's recent statement about giving himself "seven days to make a decision" has further increased speculation about such a move.
