Knicks vs. Celtics: Live Blog Analysis and Reaction to NBA Christmas Day Game

After a seemingly endless offseason the NBA season is finally upon us. 

It all starts today at noon eastern in New York City's Madison Square Garden. 

Two old rivals will square off against each other. 

The Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks. 

The two teams emerge from the offseason seemingly headed in different directions. The Knicks have brought in Tyson Chandler, last seen winning an NBA Title for the Dallas Mavericks in June, to strengthen their interior defense. 

The Celtics, meanwhile, lost forward Jeff Green for the season to a heart condition and are also without starting forward Paul Pierce, who is listed as day-to-day with a bruised right heel.
