NFL Playoff Scenarios: Tennessee Titans Need Miracle to Grab AFC Wild Card Spot
The Tennessee Titans are hoping that Santa Claus brings them a miracle this Christmas.
They certainly need one if they want a chance at getting into the playoffs at the end of the season.
In order for this to happen, a whole bunch of different things need to take place. Let’s break down the scenario Rich Eisen and the NFL Network research team posted on Twitter.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The most obvious is Tennessee must-win on Sunday against the suddenly beatable Houston Texans. After that, it gets a bit complicated.
For this Music City Miracle to transpire, Cincinnati must fall to Baltimore, the Jets have to lose to the Dolphins, while Denver and Oakland both need to win their matchups against Kansas City and San Diego, respectively.
If that isn’t hard enough to wrap your head around, here’s another convoluted theorem that will see the Titans into the playoffs.
Aside from beating the Texans, they need a Cincinnati loss, Jets win, Oakland win and Denver loss.
It’s not likely or probable for Tennessee to make the playoffs, but the fact that they actually have a chance going into Week 17 after this poor season is incredible.
This is a team that paid Chris Johnson over $53 million on a four-year contract and got terrible production out of him.
They have been dealing with injuries to their best players, including WR Kenny Britt and MLB Barrett Ruud.
Perhaps the worst part of the season? Being the victim of the Indianapolis Colts' first win.
If they actually make the playoffs with all of these things considered, Tennessee would arguably be one of the luckiest teams in history.
Crazier things have happened, though—you may remember the Seattle Seahawks making the postseason last year after a 7-9 season and then upset the defending champion New Orleans Saints.
