LeSean McCoy Injury: Updates on Eagles Star RB's Ankle Injury

The Eagles rolled over the Cowboys, but LeSean McCoy was carted off with an ankle injury, possibly making it a bittersweet win.

The Eagles are fighting to salvage some respectability by finishing .500. Seeing their most consistent player and one of the best backs in the league sustain an injury is a fitting end to what has been a disastrous season.

Seeing McCoy less than 100 percent will only makes a tough season that much worse.

Fantasy Impact

It's championship time in fantasy football and those who got to this point on the back of McCoy are suffering this blow at the most critical time imaginable.

McCoy had a rough day statistically, and the injury likely made it that much worse.

Who's the Backup?

Ronnie Brown may be called upon to help share some of the workload. Though Brown is available to spell McCoy, he, like so many other high-profile Eagles acquisitions, has not lived up to the hype surrounding him this offseason.

McCoy returning to the game tells you pretty much everything you need to know. He's obviously not playing pain-free, but it's certainly a good sign.

It will be interesting to see what his status is for next week, once the adrenaline of the game wears off.
