Tim Tebow: 4th Quarter Magic Won't Be Necessary vs. Bills

Even in Buffalo, the Broncos are a much better team than the Bills. Not only are they better, but Denver's strengths will play away from what the Bills do well. As a result, the comebacks that Tim Tebow has been known to pull off late in the fourth quarter, or "Tebow Time," will not be necessary. 

The Broncos will have the game decided well before that point. 

Things were looking good for the Bills after Week 8. They shut out the Redskins, moved to 5-2 and gave Ryan Fitzpatrick a nice contract. Fortune has not smiled on the Bills recently. They haven't won since. Denver's season has gone in an opposite direction. 

Buffalo needs a quarterback to come out and sling it against them for their defense to thrive. The Bills play an aggressive, ball hawking defense. With that style, even the best quarterbacks can look mortal if they have so much as an average day. We saw that against Tom Brady in Week 3.

But the Broncos aren't going to come out and sling it. They are going to run the ball and run it a lot. The Bills are 29th in the NFL in running defense. Denver is first in rushing offense. There's no reason for John Fox to call any dangerous pass plays.

On offense, the Bills are not the team that they were early in the season. Fred Jackson's injury, combined with an increasingly ineffective Ryan Fitzpatrick has doomed this team. They just don't score enough points for anyone to have confidence that they'll score on Denver's defense.

The Broncos are going to take this game. Tim Tebow will do fine, but it won't be anywhere near as dramatic. The Bills are going to see a steady dose of Willis McGahee and Tim Tebow on the ground. When Tebow has to make a pass, look for it to be a safe route. 

Tebow will inflict his damage, but it will be earlier in the game. The hearts of the Broncos and their fans will get a nice break for one fourth quarter.

Prediction: Broncos 23, Bills 14
