NFL Week 16 Picks: New York Giants and Teams Who Will Keep Playoff Hopes Alive
The New York Giants will win Big Apple bragging rights when they defeat the New York Jets on Sunday, but their reward of remaining in the NFL playoff race will be far more important to Big Blue.
The NFL did a smart thing when they filled much of the Week 16 and 17 schedule with division games, which will make the last few weeks of the season quite exciting.
Let's look at who will win the key division battles of Week 16...

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Chiefs over Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs beat the previously unbeaten Green Bay Packers last week, and they will carry that momentum into this week's pivotal matchup with the division rival Oakland Raiders.
Every team in the AFC West has a shot at the division title, but whoever loses this game will likely see those hopes of division glory end.
The Raiders have allowed 243 passing yards and 135 rushing yards per game this season, and have allowed an average of 36 points per game the past three games, all of which were losses.
With Kyle Orton at quarterback, the Chiefs offense looked better against the Packers than it has most of this season, and one aspect he will improve is ball control.
Orton doesn't throw many interceptions, and he didn't throw any against the Packers last week either. With a second chance this season to prove he can be a starting NFL quarterback, Orton will not disappoint and lead the Chiefs to a win on Sunday.
Cowboys over Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys can take a major step in winning the NFC East division this week when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles, despite their disappointing season, can still win the division if they defeat their last two opponents and get some help.
The Cowboys head into this game following a big win against the Arizona Cardinals, and quarterback Tony Romo has played great over the past few weeks.
Romo has thrown for an average of 290 yards over the past three games, and in that same span he has thrown eight touchdowns with no interceptions.
Romo will give his team a great performance on Sunday and lead the Cowboys to a major win.
Giants over Jets
The New York Giants are a veteran team that have many Super Bowl winning players on their roster who know how to win important games.
The loser of this game could see their playoff hopes crumble, so the stakes are obviously quite high. In this sort of game I look at the play of the quarterbacks for each team.
Eli Manning has been terrific for the Giants this season, especially in the fourth quarter, and I would trust him far more than Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Sanchez has been disappointing this season, and despite his 4-2 career playoff record, his defense this season has been much worse than it's played the past two seasons.
Manning will once again lead the Giants to the win in the fourth quarter, and help his team take another step toward another playoff appearance.
