Texans vs Colts: Predicting Stats for Arian Foster and Game's Top Stars

Zach KruseDec 22, 2011

In anticipation of Thursday night's battle between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans, let's run down some quick stat predictions for the big names on each roster.

Texans

QB T.J. Yates

How much will the Texans really need to throw tonight? The game plan will revolve around the two stud running backs.

14-of-20 for 137 yards, TD

RB Arian Foster

The Texans don't want to run Foster out of gas before the playoffs, but he'll see enough carries to get his share of yards.

18 carries, 109 yards, 2 TDs; four catches, 35 yards, TD

RB Ben Tate

Once the Texans get up big, they'll be more cautious with Foster and ride Tate to their 11th win.

17 carries, 92 yards, TD

TE Owen Daniels

If any receiver on the Texans roster is going to see the most looks, it's going to be Daniels. No Andre Johnson means he should be the primary focus.

Five catches, 49 yards

Colts

QB Dan Orlovsky

The Texans are allowing the second fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, but there's hope for some late stat padding if the Colts fall behind.

19-of-33 for 188 yards, 2 INTs

RB Donald Brown

The effectiveness of Brown might be the Colts' only chance at pulling off this upset. He's fresh off a big game against the Titans in Week 15.

17 carries, 59 yards, TD; two catches, 27 yards

WR Reggie Wayne

Orlovsky has targeted Pierre Garcon more since taking over, and the defensive matchup isn't promising. If the quarterback struggles, so does Wayne.

Three catches, 49 yards

WR Pierre Garcon

There's a touch of hope here, as Garcon has 28 targets in Orlovsky's three starts. The Texans defense is too good to hope for too much, however.

Six catches 79 yards
