WWE: 10 Reasons Daniel Bryan's World Title Win Is a Mistake

He won it like all other MITB Champions. He took advantage of a situation when he had the change.

No one should begrudge him.

Heck, CM Punk said he would have done the same thing as Alberto Del Rio had the circumstances been different.

But this was Daniel Bryan, maybe the most vanilla of all MITB winners and the one nobody figured would get a fair shake at the title unless something catastrophic happened.

And to beat Big Show and taunt Mark Henry, I guess you have a pretty good sense of how long you will be a WWE champion if you do that.

Bryan is our World Champion. But it does not seem fitting that Bryan wear the same strap as Triple H, Ric Flair, Rick Steamboat, The Undertaker and others.

There a handful of reasons why Bryan winning the title makes sense. But there are baskets full of reasons why it doesn't.

Here are some of them.

He Isn't the Caliber of Other Smaller Wrestlers in the WWE

How does he compare with Eddie Guerrero?

How does he compare with Chris Benoit?

How does he compare with Rey Mysterio?

Each one had their own style, grace and charisma.

And Daniel Bryan could not beat any of them.

It Was a David vs. Goliath Story

And we all know those have a habit of coming apart in wrestling.

Big Show seems to be the one who constantly loses these types of matches.

Bryan could not beat a healthy Mark Henry or a Kane, or an Undertaker.

It was a special circumstance.

Because Mark Henry Did the Beating for Bryan

Of all wrestlers to beat, Bryan used Mark Henry for an assist.

The two are still feuding, but Bryan used the former champion to capture the crown.

And that does nothing to help Henry in the chase for the title.

It Destroys the Storylines for Others

Bryan has the title, and who will challenge him now?

There is a list of wrestlers, but they all make for bad matchup issues.

Cody Rhodes Is More Worthy

The Intercontinental Champion should get a crack at the title.

The second generation wrestler is more of a worthy champion and deserves a title run more.

He Is Too Vanilla

No personality. No game. And certainly not a great mic man.

You need all those things to be a great world champion.

Wade Barrett Should Be Champion

Barrett is the hottest wrestler in the promotion right now.

He should get a title shot.

Right now, Barrett is caught in a feud with Randy Orton, and that does nothing to help either of them gain a title shot.

Christian Is Not Crying over This

If Christian were healthy, he would make for a great opponent for Bryan.

But the veteran is injured and cannot compete.

But the idea of the two meeting is quite intriguing.

It Leaves Us with Mark Henry Still Chasing Big Show

And if you are like me, you are tired of this feud.

Make it stop.

Nice Guys Always Finish Last

He is too nice, almost a Wally Cleaver-like guy.

He needs a rougher image. He needs more style.

He needs a hot girl to bring him to the ring (AJ).

He needs a transformation.
