Tom Brady's 6 Most Memorable Highlights vs. the Miami Dolphins

Andre KhatchaturianDec 21, 2011

Jesus Christ mentioned on Saturday Night Live that if he's the son of God, then Tom Brady is his nephew.

He has certainly been blessed with an unbelievable amount of talent and has appeared in many opponents' nightmares.

One opponent that has given Brady a bit of a hard time is the Miami Dolphins. Brady has lost to Miami six times in his career, more than any other team.

That being said, he's still had some legendary performances against them throughout his career.

Brady and the Pats take on the Dolphins this Sunday, and New Englanders hope that Brady replicates his Week 1 performance against Miami when he threw for 517 yards.

Here are some of Brady's highlights throughout his career against the Dolphins.

A year after winning the Super Bowl, Brady and the Patriots faced a bit of a championship hangover.

They found themselves at 8-7, and they needed to beat the Dolphins and have the New York Jets lose to the Green Bay Packers in order to make the playoffs.

Brady made sure he did his part.

Despite not having his best game, he led a comeback as the Patriots won 24-21 in overtime. Brady was 25-for-44 and had a passer rating of 68.5. He threw a clutch touchdown in the fourth quarter to Troy Brown to put the Patriots within three.

He then led the Patriots down the field twice to set up two Adam Vinatieri field goals which eventually gave the Patriots the victory.

That being said, the Jets beat the Packers easily, and the Patriots missed out on the playoffs.

Once again Brady found himself behind in the fourth quarter. The Patriots were losing 13-6 when Brady delivered a strike to David Givens to even up the score.

The game went to overtime and Tom Brady made sure it ended with the Patriots on top. He fired an 82-yard bomb to Troy Brown to seal the deal for the Patriots.

Overall, Brady had a fantastic game. He completed 24 of his 34 passes and threw two touchdowns with a passer rating of 115.2.

This was definitely not one of Brady's best games. As mentioned earlier, the Dolphins are one of the teams that have really given Brady a hard time.

That being said, he is one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the game, and he showed it on this warm November day in South Beach.

Down by a point late in the fourth, Brady and the Patriots marched down the field. Brady eventually delivered by throwing a touchdown to Ben Watson. They later converted on the two-point conversion to give the Patriots the victory.

This season was a special one for Brady and the Patriots. They were chasing history, and it looked like nobody was going to be able to stop them.

The Patriots went 18-0 before losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl.

Despite the tragic loss, Brady put up career numbers in 2007. He threw 50 touchdowns and set a record in that department.

His most dominant game that season came against Miami when he threw for six touchdowns and completed 21 of his 25 pass attempts. He was pretty much perfect. This came after a five touchdown performance at Dallas the previous week.

Brady had a perfect 158.3 passer rating that day in Miami, and it was easily one of the most memorable performances of his career.

In an all-around team effort, the Patriots defeated the Dolphins, 38-7. Brady threw for two touchdowns but was extremely efficient.

He completed 10 of his 16 passes for a quarterback rating of 145.6. The win gave the Patriots their 14th win of the season.

What a way to open the season.

In Week 1 this year on a Monday night, Tom Brady threw for 517 yards and four touchdowns as the Patriots destroyed the Dolphins, 38-24.

Brady's most memorable highlight came when he threw a 99-yard strike to Wes Welker. It was truly remarkable and if anyone wanted to put Aaron Rodgers ahead of Brady, they'd have to wait just a bit longer.
