Jaguars vs. Titans: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More

Donald WoodDec 20, 2011

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans could be the least intriguing matchup of the season so far, but for the fantasy football players of the world, this game is make or break.

This battle has two of the better running backs in the NFL, and odds are that more than a few of the championship-contending teams have either Maurice Jones-Drew or Chris Johsnon.

While the AFC South divisional battles are always fun, the lack of pressure should make this an offensive showcase for both teams. This could get ugly.

What's at Stake?

Pride. At this point of the season, with both teams out of contention, this game is a test for coaches to see which players mail it in and which players use this time to show how good they can be. Week 16 is also fantasy finals week, and that means plenty of fantasy eyes will be fastened on this battle.

Fantasy: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Matt Hasselbeck, Titans

The Tennessee Titans are going to pick apart a defense that has been depleted by injuries and is giving up yards like its going out of style. As long as the Titans offensive line can keep Hasselbeck standing, he’ll have a monster day.

Sit 'Em: Blaine Gabbert, Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are falling apart at the seams, and it all starts with Blaine Gabberet. This is the first time he has felt lost in his life on the football field, so I think he shuts it down mentally.

Sleeper: Chris Johnson, Titans

While I can’t believe he has been relegated back to sleeper, his recent lack of success on the ground shouldn’t stop you from starting him now. If you made it this far in the season with Johnson, start him one last time.

What They're Saying

Nashville Sports radio personality Aaron Solomon is reporting on Twitter:

Titans beat writer for The Tennessean Jim Wyatt is reporting on Twitter:

Key Matchup: Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Chris Johnson

There is no question that this game will be won and lost on the ground. With two running backs at the level of MJD and CJ2K, the team that gets their running back going first will not only control the clock, they will strike some life into their passing offense. I think Chris Johnson steals the show and has a monster day.

Prediction: Titans 34, Jaguars 27
