Eagles vs. Cowboys: Dallas Owner Jerry Jones Playing Mind Games With Philly
Jerry Jones is desperate and not above lowering himself to mind games to give his Dallas Cowboys some sort of edge.
His 8-6 squad is hosting the 6-8 Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East game with huge ramifications on the line in Week 16. The Cowboys can end their division rivals' playoff aspirations with a win, while putting themselves in a great position to win the division. A loss and the Cowboys no longer control their own destiny.
Jones is well aware and sounded off on KRLD-FM in Dallas to voice his concerns:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Because it is the Eagles and after the butt-kicking they gave us up in Philadelphia, I’m scared. It’s that kind of feeling. The respect turns into being afraid of what they can do to you if you have some breakdowns out there, so you can put that scared there if you want to. I think sometimes I know I do my best when I’m scared.
"
Oh please.
There is no way Jones really feels this way and I bet he went straight to his locker room afterward to have a laugh about it with the players. It’s bizarre that an owner is involved in these kind of head games, but then again, Jones isn’t like any of his colleagues.
He knows his team was shellacked 34-7 in Philly a few months ago and is attempting to make the Eagles sound as daunting as possible. He is trying to infuse a wildly inconsistent Philly squad with as much confidence as he can with the hope of inflating their egos.
It’s pointless, Jerry. The Eagles know what’s at stake and aren’t going to let your compliments affect anything they do. They have the opportunity to salvage their season while ruining yours in the process. That’s all the motivation they need.
Jones is pulling out all of the tricks in his bag, which gives you an idea of just how big this game is.
