Kardashian Christmas Card 2011: Why It's Time for a Holiday Card That We Get

The Kardashian family is known for extravagant things. Their multiple television shows on E! are the channel's highest rated programs on their station.

Anytime Kim, Khloe or Kourtney does anything in their lives, it makes the front pages of tabloid magazines. However, their Christmas card this year has to leave you scratching your head asking yourself, “What am I looking at?” 

At first glance, the Christmas card looks like they were doing a photo shoot for GQ magazine. It’s either that, or they snapped these pictures before heading out to an awards show, or gala.  

Instead, this is what their friends and family got in the mail and probably thought that they were getting invited to a family party, or a fundraiser that was being thrown by the mother, Kris.  

I would have liked to have been there when their friends opened the card, pulled out this picture, and read the message on the back that said, “Happy Holidays from the Kardashian Family.”  

I’m sure this card really ties into the crop of other cards that they received during the holiday season.  

Kim took to her blog to announce the release of their Christmas card saying:

“Here it is! Our 2011 Kardashian/Jenner family Christmas card!!! 

'It was shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni and there’s a special 3D version that you can view with 3D glasses. What do you guys think?

'I love our family Christmas cards shoots and I think this one looks amazing!' 

"

However, according to The Daily Mail, Kim had another idea for her Christmas card this year.

Of course, Kim is spending the holiday season as a single woman following her split from husband Kris Humphries earlier this year.  

She had initially intended to release Christmas cards featuring her wedding photo and even placed an order with a high-end stationery company.

This year’s card was met with a lot public scrutiny. It’s not a traditional Christmas card, where you see them all in cheesy sweaters, or posing in front of a tree or roaring fire.  

This card is exactly what you should expect from a Kardashian family that is never known to be quiet, or reserved. 

Instead, they continue with their slow rise of taking over the world with their brand.  

Let’s hope this card doesn’t do two things. One, make all Christmas cards turn into black-tie photo shoots. And two, that the letter “C” in Christmas card, doesn’t get changed over to the letter “K.”
