Steelers vs. 49ers Power Outage: San Francisco's Stadium Issues Embarrass NFL
The San Francisco 49ers are having a terrific season, and they finally got to show off their talents on Monday Night Football in a 20-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. But the story of the game had nothing to with them and everything to do with the two power outages that hit Candlestick Park.
It has been well-established that the 49ers play in one of the worst stadiums in all of sports, and this latest incident should be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
This was a fitting moment for the stadium since it was announced last week that Santa Clara agreed to finance a new stadium for the franchise. It has been a long time coming, and if it does get done, everyone associated with the 49ers should give the finger to that old monstrosity known as Candlestick.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The power outage was an embarrassment, not just for the 49ers but for the entire NFL. This was a marquee game in primetime on Monday night, and the biggest thing that people are talking about is what happened with the stadium.
The fact that the 49ers are 11-3 and in the driver's seat for the No. 2 seed in the NFC and the Steelers blew a golden opportunity to become the top seed in the AFC should be the only thing that we are talking about today.
Instead, we have to talk about how terrible the stadium in San Francisco is and whether or not this will finally get that long-rumored stadium built.
That stadium in Santa Clara can't start construction fast enough because this was a bad night for the league. Imagine if this had happened in the playoffs, which is entirely possible because they will host at least one postseason game.
League officials would lose their minds if that happened. It may sound like an isolated incident that the 49ers will be able to contain, but I would have said that after the first power outage delayed the game for 30 minutes.
