Bruins vs. Canadiens: Live Blog, Score, Highlights and NHL Analysis

The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins battle at the TD Garden tonight in a matchup that is pivotal to both teams.

Boston is 1-2 against Montreal this season and hope to avoid falling behind 1-3 in the season series. The Canadiens fired head coach Jacques Martin on Saturday, and replaced him with Randy Cunneyworth who, interestingly enough, does not speak French.

The Canadiens need this game to climb back into the playoff picture. They are sitting in last in the Northeast Division but are just two points out of second.

The Bruins are tied with the Philadelphia Flyers atop the Eastern Conference standings with 43 points. 

There are many storylines surrounding this game, including the Canadiens fans' displeasure with Cunneyworth being named head coach, Tomas Kaberle's return to Boston and Milan Lucic's one-game suspension which he will serve tonight.
