WWE Raw Preview: A Huge Night for WWE After a Great TLC PPV

Justin WatryDec 19, 2011

WWE TLC was last night, and I thought it was a good show. The event closed out a great WWE PPV year for the company. It had just the right amount of matches and moments to leave fans happy at the end of the night.

With all things, it is now time to move on. WWE is on a constant clock to move forward, so Raw will be on in a few hours, and the excitement is slowly building.

I think this is a big night for WWE. They are going against a huge NFL game on ESPN, but that doesn't mean they can't produce a quality two-hour program.

Here are a few topics that I am interested in tonight:

1. Who is next to challenge CM Punk for his WWE Championship? I think most are assuming The Miz, but I am not sure. While I would love to see that one-on-one feud, it seems as if WWE is ready to move on.

I doubt we see Alberto Del Rio get another title match. Outside of those two heels, who is left?

Dolph Ziggler would be an intriguing choice. He did get a "test run" last year at Royal Rumble as a main-event player. He passed with flying colors, and Edge made him look great. Could we see the same this year?

We shall see...

2. Are Triple H and Kevin Nash done on WWE TV? Last night, Triple H beat Nash and sent him out of the arena on a stretcher. That seems to be the end of the road for Diesel. However, what does Triple H do now?

I can't imagine him getting involved in the WWE title picture. There is no need for that. Perhaps he will get back to being the COO of WWE? More power struggles with Johnny Ace? I have no idea, but I do wonder how he fits into the Raw program moving forward.

3. Will the Smackdown performers be on tonight? WWE has always been hit or miss with the Blue Brand on Monday nights, but this may be a big night for a few guys. Daniel Bryan is the current World Champion. He cashed in his briefcase on the (other) new champion, Big Show.

Will these two tease a feud? Is somebody set to turn heel, as I have suspected now for over a month? The Smackdown show has a lot of momentum right now. A part of me wants them to have a big story tonight. Another part of me wants WWE to wait until Friday night.

4. Is Kane feuding with John Cena? Last week, Kane made his big WWE return and took out Cena. Was it his intention or was it a spur of the moment attack? I think it will be a feud, but it can't be too long with WrestleMania in a few months. John Cena is the top priority in this company, and his match with The Rock should be their first factor in how his next few weeks go.

I still have my doubts on Kane wearing a mask. The second he starts talking again, the mystery is gone...again. The second he loses, his build is gone...again. I am positive, but I just don't know about all the hype over Kane in 2011 (and 2012).

5. Finally, what is the next tease for January 2, 2012? Everybody has their own theories, but most of them will be wrong in two weeks. I really hope WWE gives a "big clue" the next two weeks, but they still keep it a surprise.

It is a tough line to walk, but it can be done. It can be a number of WWE stars returning, but my guesses have remained the same. Get ready for more cryptic hints that ultimately mean nothing. Tonight is sure to be a great show for WWE...
