Blake Griffin is an animal on the glass and in the low post, but there are questions about his ability to avoid his sophomore slump. With Griffin willingly deferring the ball to Chris Paul, though, there should be much more Griffin flying around under the basket and plenty of poster dunks.

With his personal life in turmoil, whether Bryant uses basketball as his escape or if he starts to treat it like a job will depict whether or not the Lakers win this game against the Clippers or win anything significant this season.

The Chris Paul to the Clippers trade had to hurt the Lakers more than any other team in the NBA, not just because they almost had him themselves, but because he ended up playing in the same building on the wrong team. The Lakers don’t have anyone that can cover Paul, so it will be a long night for the Lakers.
