What's At Stake?
Duke hasn’t stepped on the court for a competitive game since Dec. 10 and has only played two games this entire month.
The Blue Devils need to make sure they come out with a passion and fire to easily overcome a team that has no business hanging around with them.
Should they fail to do so, it’s going to reflect in their ranking and possibly hurt them come tournament time.
What They're Saying
Andrew Beaton of The Chronicle reports that Washington Huskies coach Lorenzo Romar found success when going small against Duke, although his team came up short.
"“We had to go small, just spread and try to take advantage of whichever big they had guarding one of our smaller guys,” Romar said. “I think in this particular game it did [help us]…. They played with two big guys the entire time.”
"
Adam Smith of The Times-News found that Wes Miller, interim coach of the UNCG Spartans and youngest head coach in D-I basketball at 29-years-old, is finding his new job very emotional.
"“I told our guys first thing in the locker room that I’m just really proud of them,” he said. “Their effort was tremendous. It’s been a really, really emotional week. It’s been a tough week. And they showed their character by the way they handled everything.”
"
He is referencing the firing of Mike Dement, the longest-tenured coach in school history.
Greensboro Player to Watch: Trevis Simpson
This sophomore guard is the only double-digit scorer the Spartans have and will be expected to shoulder the majority of the scoring load tonight.
Duke Player to Watch: Austin Rivers
There is always a spotlight on Rivers when Duke takes the floor.
He’s their best player, and the true freshman is wowing the nation with his incredible skills and scoring ability.
Key to Game: Duke free-throw shooting.
Coach Mike Krzyzewski acknowledged his team is shooting very poorly at the stripe and needs to address it before it starts costing them games.
""Today, one of the stories, quite obviously is our missed free throws," Coach K said. "You know, we make free throws it's not that close at the end. Now when you miss free throws like that, the result can be different at the end and you can lose."

Prediction
Duke 97, UNC Greensboro 62
There is no possible way Greensboro upsets Duke at Cameron Indoor, and the Blue Devils easily win this in blowout fashion.
