NFL Playoff Scenarios: 5 Bubble Teams That Could Still Sneak in

The following five NFL teams are on the outside looking into the playoff picture but could still sneak in with a solid run down the stretch.

New York Giants (7-7, 1 GB)

Despite a crushing loss to the Washington Redskins, the Giants can still get into the postseason. Two wins over their final two games will do the trick, but it'll be no easy task beating the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys in consecutive weeks, especially with both teams fighting their own postseason battles.  

Cincinnati Bengals (8-6)

The Jets currently hold a tiebreaker over the Bengals in win percentage over common teams, so the Bengals likely need to win out and have the Jets lose one of their final two.

Not impossible, especially on the former, as the Jets face the Giants on Sunday then travel to Miami. The Bengals would have to beat the Ravens in Week 17. We've certainly seen crazier things happen this time of year. 

Oakland Raiders (7-7, 1 GB)

It's going to be hard for the Raiders to recover from what they've suffered through the past three weeks. Two blowout losses to the Dolphins and Packers preceded the Raiders' meltdown against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Still, two wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers over the last two weeks would put a lot of pressure on the Denver Broncos to win out. 

San Diego Chargers (7-7, 1 GB)

Hard to believe that the Chargers still have a chance at cracking the postseason after the way they started the season. But they've played considerably better over the past month and now have the chance to shock the AFC West.

San Diego will need help, but wins over the Lions and Raiders give them hope.

Kansas City Chiefs (6-8, 2 GB)

It's crazy to think that the opportunity of Kyle Orton returning to Denver for a chance at a playoff spot is still in the cards.
