NFL Playoff Predictions: Dallas Cowboys Will Win NFC East

When predicting who will win the NFC East this season, it really comes down to who will win between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants in their final regular-season matchup.

After the Cowboys lost to the Giants in Week 14, I expected the Giants to win the division.

Now, after one week, I'm waffling back to the Cowboys.

Why?

Because the NFC East waffles as a whole.

Nobody has truly separated themselves in this division, and it really depends on who looks better headed into Week 17.

The Cowboys have suffered so many late-game losses that it's hard to keep track. The ending to the Giants game was a disaster. And quarterback Tony Romo can hit the wall at any given moment (particularly in the fourth quarter).

But, as of now, they are playing the best football, coming off a 31-15 drubbing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that saw Romo throw for three touchdowns and rush for one more.

The Giants, on the other hand, continue to be wildly inconsistent, turning in a stinker against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, 23-10.

In that game, quarterback Eli Manning threw three interceptions and was the main scapegoat for the loss.

The Giants may be hosting the Cowboys in Week 17, which figures to give them a slight advantage, but they are actually 3-4 at home so far this season.

The team that comes ready to play will win in Week 17 and consequently win the NFC East.

That team will be the Dallas Cowboys.
