Auburn Meltdown Begins, Fans to Accuse Bama of Everything over Yeldon Switch

Larry BurtonDec 18, 2011

Larry Burton (Syndicated Writer)  The Auburn meltdown has begun over the commitment switch of T.J. Yeldon, one of the nation's best running backs, from Auburn to Alabama.

Looking over just one of the Auburn football boards, autigers.com, it is obvious that Auburn will now accuse Alabama of every wrong doing imaginable, including money, cars, suits and new homes for parents.

Take a look at how badly they're taking the news and if you're an Alabama fan, enjoy...

"I have  a lot of respect for Auburn, the coaches and all the people there, but at the end of the day, I feet the University of Alabama is the best situation and fit for me and my family."

What is it $puat offers to the kid's families that Auburn doesn't?

At least now he gets his 5th star back.

Press release per his HS coach. This comes on the eve of the dead period and nobody can contact him before he enters school at bammer; bammer work at it's finest $$$$$$$$$$$$

The rumor of a $200K payoff that started leaking within the last week appears to have legs. This kid has stung AU along with his word repeatedly. I have followed recruiting very close since 1986 and this is the most disappointed I've ever been with a kid, his family and the blatant smell coming out of bammer.

Okay, now watch money ripple through the school and family. This one, like a few others, stinks to high heaven.

Callaway, Kounjo.

You know the higher ranked players, I believe bammer tells them to say they are going to AU just so they can look like they pull them in at the last minute.

Seen this too many times, There has to be $, charger, house, job or all 4 in play here.

has bama hired one yet"

Just what I was about to say.   We don't have an OC, but neither do they.

Folks, this smells like week-old fish!  Something went down.

These are not amateur cheaters we are dealing with, they wrote the book on it.

He has most likely been bammer bound from the beginning, but told to string AU along just to give us more bad press when bammer "turns" him. This is straight out of their propaganda playbook.

Hopefully he'll suffer the same fate as Brent Calloway, Dee Hart, and Cyrus K.  Yeldon = worthless piece of ****.  Yea, I'm "classless" I don't care, f all of them.

Yep. This was a set-up from day one, right down to the Bama beat-writer reporting he was going to enroll at AU the day he left Tuscaloosa.

Played like a drum.

He wasn't paid, he's just a piece of trash which is why bama is a better fit for him.

I've always kind of felt like you had to be pretty sleazy to be a truly great salesman and saban is about as sleazy as it gets. Because of this, he is damn good at recruiting. Yeldon and family will figure this out soon enough, regardless of how successful he is there.

"Should I do this line or coke or that hit of meth"?

"Should I give or receive to Albetar for my free suit"?

"Should I buy 1 pound of weed or 2"?

"Should I choke my girlfriend or just knock her out"?

Now I understand why the bama "sports journalists" at the Press-Register and 105.5FM were gushing late last week about how great TJ will be at the next level.  They never mentioned what a great addition he was to our class, and they obviously knew where he was going.  You have to give it to sabear and his forces of darkness, they really are "pros" at recruiting, and I think we all know that they'll continue to get away with it.
WDE!

Re: Yeldon apparently has decommitted from AU

If Mr. Yeldon wants to go to Alabama after telling everyone that he was signing with us, then good riddance. With that sort of bankrupt character, he is not and will not be an Auburn man that lives by the Creed.

If something fishy is going on, lets find out. Is Daphne in Mobile or Baldwin County? Are their Probate records online for use to view? As in the Calloway situation, look  also for slight mispellings of the family name as they hid a tax lien payoff that way in Franklin County. They can always go back and file a correction, long after the fire dies out, or the kid gets processed.
Check for mortgage satisfactions or new deeds of record in the next 30 days. Any other public records that can be checked? Anyone work in either county in proximity to the courthouse there?

Re: Yeldon apparently has decommitted from AU

Exactly why the yearly game with them should end. It never has been, and never will be, a level playing field. For AU to even have the success that they've had against them is astonishing. From fixing games with Georgia, to adding Vandy every year, this is what bama DOES.

RE: Yeldon apparently has decommitted from AU

Cant speak for everybody, but im not upset that he switched. I'm upset that he switched a few hours before the dead period after MONTHS of claiming he was 100% to Auburn. Now our coaches can't talk to him or any other RB until January. Switching is fine, but show some class when you do it. This kid's obviously a piece of crap thug.

I'm sorry, but this is purely aimed at ruining our program. I hope he loses any chance at playing at the collegiate level. His family was bought out.

RE: Yeldon apparently has decommitted from AU

At what point does chizik man up and say enough is enough and take this to the NCAA? Updyke is blatantly paying players through boosters. Yeldon affirmed his commitment just a couple days ago. Someone affiliated with AU needs to pony up some money for proof. A family member/friend will take that money and tell all."Who is Gene Chizik?"

RE: Yeldon apparently has decommitted from AU

Yeah, what was I thinking? It's perfectly OK and normal for grown adults to call kid POS and wish them a horrible life. After all, it's just a little innocent venting because said kid isn't attending the college that said grown adults wanted him to. Pathetic.

This certainly rots.

I'm going to love finding the money trail.

Right now its hard to tell if he played us or if he was simply paid off. Going to check this out right now.
