2011 Bowl Predictions: Oklahoma State Will Spoil Andrew Luck's Last Bowl
Oklahoma State is going to make Andrew Luck's last collegiate game a disappointing one.
The Fiesta Bowl is guaranteed to be a spectacular shootout between two of the most explosive teams in the country, but OK State is laying down more fire power than Stanford.
Luck is so spectacular, the Cardinal are able to produce monster points without having elite play makers around him. With Chris Owusu sustaining his head injury, Luck has had to compensate for the lack of talent around him.
As we saw when Luck took the field against Oregon, a high-octane offense has the power to expose Stanford's shortcomings in a hurry.
Mike Gundy is going to validate his Coach of the Year designation. With Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon eager to show that the loss against Iowa State was nothing more than an aberration, the Cowboys are going to light up the scoreboard.
Oklahoma State's 41-10 blowout win over Oklahoma shows just how powerful the Cowboys are. Stanford was taken into triple overtime against USC and got embarrassed by Oregon.
They've been tested both times they've faced juggernaut teams, and the same will hold true in the Fiesta Bowl.
Both of these teams score over 40 PPG and you can expect both of them to put up monster numbers in what is sure to be the most exciting game of the bowl season.
This is the second time all season that Stanford finds themselves looking across the field at an offense that is more capable than their own.
Unfortunately for the future No. 1 overall pick, his last collegiate memory will be a painful one.
