John Cena WWE: Why WWE Doesn't Want Cena on This TLC PPV
The WWE is not planning on having John Cena attend their TLC Pay-Per-View this Sunday and it’s not for the reasons you think.
While there may be some truth to the rumors of John Cena’s personal life going through some tough times, this is strictly a business decision.
The WWE is building a possible feud between John Cena and Kane to hold over Cena until The Rock comes back, so they do not want to rush that feud yet.

While it is convenient to give Cena a day off here and there, this is more about CM Punk and the other stars that the WWE has been trying to push than anything to do with John Cena.
With all of the recent talk about Zack Ryder, Wade Barrett and CM Punk, the WWE officials want to see how much drawing power these young stars have already. If they can carry a secondary PPV without the support of a big name like The Rock or John Cena, that means they can be main-event talent in the near future.
This card is all about seeing what the people on it have to offer for the company going forward.
There are veteran matches like Big Show vs. Mark Henry or Triple H vs. Kevin Nash, but the majority of this card is about getting younger stars over with the crowd and building them for the Royal Rumble and the road to WrestleMania.
It’s obvious that John Cena would make any and every card better with his presence, but the WWE has to make sure they have the next group of stars that can take the sport to the next level.
I think they do.
