WWE TLC 2011: Overrated Event Is a Bogus Way to End Year
WWE offers up a lame TLC to end the year, which means the juiciest storylines will have to wait until next year and the first WrestleMania.
There is a solid three-way fight featuring CM Punk, The Miz and Albert Del Rio, but the rest of the action is just tired and yawn inducing.
Mark Henry vs. Big Show? Yeah, that was awesome during the last two pay-per-view events.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Give this rivalry a break already. It was entertaining, but it is just routine and boring now.
Then there is Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder for the US metro-sexual title match. Or maybe it is just the US title match. It is hard to tell with these two. If they weren't wrestling, I'm pretty sure these guys would be trying out for Jersey Shore.
Ryder is turning into a popular wrestler, but he is also turning into a faceless John Cena assistant.
And those are the highlights of the event!
These boring matches obviously led to the WWE's leaning on a silly gimmick to try and spice things up.
Drama Debacle
The biggest story of the event is that Kane is back under the mask.
How is this compelling? Masks are donned to lend an air of mystery—a sense of foreboding.
However, that works much better when people haven't spent years looking at the face of the person wearing the mask.
Where is the drama in putting someone in a mask when you already know them? This isn't much different than if Kane were to come out to fight not wearing a mask and then slip one on right in front of the camera.
As if fans are supposed to be sitting there uninterested and then all of sudden say: "Wow, look at that. Kane is in his mask! Is that even Kane? I can't be sure. He is in a mask. He may actually kill someone now that he is wearing that mask."
Please, just stop it. Put someone new in a mask. Someone whose face we don't already know.
