Patriots vs. Broncos: Tom Brady Will Put on QB Clinic vs. Tim Tebow and Denver

Austin GreenDec 18, 2011

Tim Tebow and the Broncos are on a six-game winning streak, but their success will come to a screeching halt on Sunday as Tom Brady rolls into town.

Tebow deserves all (well, most) of the props he's been getting lately. He's been excellent in crunch time of close games, making clutch plays look routine. His fourth-quarter production has been ridiculous, and his 7-1 record is impossible to argue with.

This week, however, there will be no late-game dramatics. Instead, he should get his pen and notebook ready, because Brady is about to put on a quarterback clinic.

With Aaron Rodgers putting up video-game numbers in Green Bay, it's easy to overlook the season Brady is having.

The 12-year veteran has quietly put together yet another spectacular season. He is second in the NFL in passing yards (4,273), second in touchdowns (33) and third in completion percentage (66.1).

He's only been sacked 22 times and has almost as many plays of 40-plus yards (10) as interceptions (11).

One thing people tend to forget when discussing Tebow's success is the other team's quarterback.

In Tebow's seven wins as a starter, he's faced Matt Moore, Carson Palmer, Matt Cassell, Mark Sanchez, a washed-up Phillip Rivers, Christian Ponder and Caleb Hanie.

Those are seven of the 10 worst starting quarterbacks in the NFL. What's going to happen when Tebow and Co. face a signal caller who actually knows what he's doing?

In Week 8 they faced a quality quarterback in Matthew Stafford. He dropped 45 points on them.

I'm expecting a similar output from Brady and the Patriots.

Tebow is magical in the clutch, but there won't be "Tebow Time" on Sunday. The Patriots will jump out to an early lead and never look back.

Prediction: Patriots 38, Broncos 20
