WWE TLC 2011: Top 5 WWE Superstars with Something to Prove Tonight

Justin WatryDec 18, 2011

Tonight is the night!

WWE will present their final pay-per-view offering of the year, and fans around the world will be on the edge of their seats watching.

There are a few talents that will really be under the spotlight in a few hours. For one reason or another, the pressure will be higher for some than others.

Here are my top five talents to watch at WWE TLC.

5. Cody Rhodes

1 of 5

This man has been great the past few months.

Cody Rhodes is not a main event performer right now, but he is certainly on the right path. No doubt.

However, he is set to compete in a big match Sunday night.

Facing off against Booker T is no small task. It is going to be a major indicator for Rhodes and his near future.

I wish him luck!

4. Booker T

2 of 5

This man is Cody's opponent for the evening, and he has even more to prove than the Intercontinental Champion.

Booker T will be having his second one-on-one televised match for WWE in 2011.

His match on Raw a few months ago was too short to really tell if Booker was ready for another run.

Jack Swagger more than held his own back in June, but what is left in the tank of the five-time WCW Champion?

We will all find out in a few hours.

3. Kevin Nash

3 of 5

Nobody is denying the talent of Triple H. That man can wrestle better than 90 percent of any wrestling roster from any generation.

The question mark here is Kevin Nash.

I am a fan of the big man. He is a wonderful talent to have, but he is not a full-time performer.

He has been very limited in the ring the past few months. Thus, there is some concern of his wrestling skills in late 2011.

My opinion?

I believe in him Sunday night.

He doesn't have to take ridiculous, high-risk bumps. He doesn't have to do pointless flips in the air. He and Triple H just need to tell a great story and have an entertaining match.

Can Nash hold up his end of the bargain? I know I believe in his abilities.

2. Zack Ryder

4 of 5

This is the biggest match of Zack Ryder's WWE career.

I do not want add any more pressure for his big night, but I really think this is a "do or die" night.

I believe he will be the next United States Champion, but Zack must have an amazing night.

The fans need to be with him. The announcers had better build him up. His match with Dolph Ziggler needs to be as crisp as possible.

Again, I do not want to be too dramatic here, but this is as huge as you can get for Mr. Ryder.

I trust Ziggler being on the top of his game, but will Ryder be at his best tonight? Find out at WWE TLC!

1. Mark Henry

5 of 5

What a year it has been for Mark Henry!

This man will be defending his title against Big Show, and I have the utmost confidence in both of them to deliver in a Chairs match.

It is by far the hardest match stipulation of the night to hold the audience's attention.

TLC matches will always have a hot crowd. Same with Ladder and Table matches!

I am not sure how Baltimore will react to a Chairs match.

Luckily, the Chairs match of the evening has two future WWE Hall of Famers going at it. Also, Show has looked phenomenal since returning.

Even better, Mark Henry has proven all of his doubters, haters and cynics wrong many times in 2011.

He will do it once more tonight. Mark Henry will walk out of the arena with the gold still around his waist, as he is never, ever losing his World title!
