Tim Tebow Video: Watch Tebowing Fiasco That Led to High Schoolers' Suspension

Tim KeeneyDec 17, 2011

Ahh yes, the timeless tradition of bending down on one knee, putting your elbow on the other knee and bowing your head until your forehead meets your fist in a light, yet decisive matter.

Or Tebowing, for short.

Tebowing, which comes from quarterback Tim Tebow's famous touchdown and victory celebrations, has swept across the nation faster than a Tim Tebow run to outside off the right tackle.

But now it's taking on new heights.

According to the Riverhead News-Review, four students from Riverhead High School in New York were suspended because of their Tebowing proclivities.

As you'll see in the video above, Tebowing just spreads like wildfire. I'm not mathematician, but it sure seemed like there was more than four people down on one knee.

Yet, only four kids got the blame.

Sorry, guys, I guess it just doesn't pay to Tebow. According to the story, it was only a one-day, in-school suspension, so it's not a huge punishment, but still quite ridiculous nonetheless.

And the actual reason for suspension?

Ready for it? Blocking the halls. Which is dangerous.

C'mon, man. Just let the kids have their fun. There's absolutely nothing dangerous about what they're doing.

I'm pretty sure if a fire alarm went off and people needed to suddenly get through the halls, the students could get up off one knee and start walking.

Besides, doesn't school administration know that nothing wrong can come of imitating the great Tim Tebow?

Still though, I think, just maybe, the kids will trade a one-day meaningless suspension for some national limelight.

“Honestly it’s pretty cool,” one of kids said. “We’re not afraid of the spotlight.”

Keep on Tebowing, kids. Keep on Tebowing.
