WWE: The Best R-Truth Moments and Promos from 2011

Chris HumphreyDec 16, 2011

Over the course of the year, R-Truth has made several different character changes, going from a fan favorite at the beginning of 2011 to a slapstick heel with thoughts of a WWE conspiracy as a part of Awesome Truth—finally ending the year on a suspension and being last seen laid out on the entrance ramp after an attack at the hands of the Miz.

While R-Truth has been a major player in some of the bigger story lines this year with Triple H and the WWE title chase, Truth has been very entertaining this year with some great promos on RAW talking about the aforementioned conspiracy going through the company all the way to dressing like a Confederate soldier singing about the Little Jimmies.

C-O-N...

In R-Truth's defense of acting like he didn't know how to spell the word "conspiracy" as he talked to the Miz, I have needed to use the spell check tool on the computer to fix the spelling of the word when I'm typing really fast and misspell the word that Truth believed swept across the WWE this year.

The Fear of Spider or the Fear of Ladders?

While it might have just been the equivalent of canned laughter by Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler at ringside, the mix up of the fear of spiders, arachnophobia and the fear of heights, acrophobia was really funny, as I'm sure Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger and others in the ring were wanting to laugh at the sheer ridiculous of Truth.

Little Johnny Got Got!

Besides the attack on John Morrison near the end of the video, the way that R-Truth reacts to the camera when he finds Morrison laying on the ground as he walks through the backstage area is the hilarity that the WWE has missed over the last few years.

R-Truth Shops At...Geico?

With the ringing endorsement by R-Truth for the insurance company Geico in this promo, how would you feel about Truth being in a future commercial for the company with the little green gecko on your television?

Why?!

In this interview segment that seemed more centered in the kitchen than in the ring, with the mention of Grand-momma Truth's spider stew and hot dog buns, R-Truth might not make a whole lot of sense in his promos, but they are really funny and I can't wait for him to return to the WWE this month.

R-Truth and His Friends vs. Triple H

When R-Truth returns to the WWE, if he brings back this gimmick, he and his two imaginary friends that he thinks stand behind him can form a new power stable on Monday nights to go after the Miz for attacking him on RAW the night after Survivor Series in October.

R-Truth, Little Jimmy Soldier

If you look close when R-Truth makes his way down the ramp singing his Little Jimmy song on RAW, you can see Stone Cold Steve Austin smiling in the ring standing beside Vince McMahon, as even the serious rattlesnake couldn't help but think the antics of Truth was funny on this Monday night.
