WWE TLC: 5 Reasons Non-Wrestling Fans Will Love This PPV
WWE's Tables Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view has a lot to offer the die-hard wrestling fans and those casual/non-wrestling fans who happen to watch every now and then.
For the hardcore enthusiast, TLC will showcase a handful of matches that focus on skilled performers who will put on an excellent match. These workers, like CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, The Miz and Cody Rhodes, will bust their butts to give us an amazing match.
However, for the casual observer, TLC provides gimmicks where the wrestlers put themselves into extraordinary circumstances involving ladders, chairs and tables.
No matter what your level of excitement is for this PPV, it will provide you with two-and-a-half hours worth of entertainment.
1. The Ladder Matches
1 of 5The ladder match is one of the most unique matches in professional wrestling.
It's the only match where you get to see high-flyers take center stage by performing insane spots using the ladder. At TLC, you won't see the crazy high-flying spots. However, you will see the ladder used more as a weapon to injure opponents.
Between The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, Triple H and Kevin Nash, none of these wrestlers are true "high-flyers." Instead, they will incorporate the ladder in helping advance the story of their match as opposed to using it for crazy spots.
Either way, it's going to keep you interested during their match.
2. The Chair Match
2 of 5The Big Show vs. Mark Henry chairs match for the world heavyweight title will provide you with a hard-hitting contest that makes you squirm with every chair shot.
These two wrestlers have provided us with a lot of great moments in their long feud. However at TLC, Show and Henry will have their best match of the series.
With every chair shot that Show and Henry give each other, it will be delivered with enough force that it will break a few of the chairs used in the match. That visual of the broken chairs, plus the ferociousness of the chair shots, will keep you wanting more from these two.
3. The Tables Match
3 of 5The tables match is one of those gimmick matches that can be over within the first two minutes. This makes it one of the higher-drama matches that the WWE can bring its fans.
TLC has Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett in a tables match, which is a perfect way to help advance this feud.
These two superstars will bring a physical and hard-hitting style to this match where either Barrett or Orton go through the table numerous times. They will keep your interest with Barrett and Orton trying to outsmart each other to send someone crashing through a wooden table.
4. The TLC Match
4 of 5The TLC match takes everything that is great about using tables, ladders and chairs and rolls them into one burrito of awesome.
At this year's TLC PPV, you get three great workers in Punk, Miz and Del Rio. They will put on an amazing match that will not be dependent on using tables, chairs or ladders.
Instead, the props will help in building up the end of the match with Punk retaining or Miz or Del Rio winning the WWE title back.
5. The Return of Booker T
5 of 5The TLC PPV will have a lot of great moments from their gimmick matches. However, seeing the return of Booker T to in-ring action will be the best moment from the PPV.
His match against Cody Rhodes will steal the spotlight at the PPV. It will be great to see Booker deliver an Ax-Kick and a Spin-A-Roonie once again during a match in a WWE ring.
With a win over Booker, it could help establish Rhodes as a major player on the SmackDown brand.
Booker is going to give us a great performance on Sunday and will be one of the things that everyone is talking about after the PPV.
