Week 15 Fantasy Rankings: Rating the 5 Worst QBs

Zach KruseDec 16, 2011

The following quarterbacks are the worst fantasy options for Week 15 of the NFL season.

For the record, Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert would have cracked this list had he been playing this weekend.

Charlie Batch, Steelers

There's a lot of pessimism steaming from Pittsburgh about Ben Roethlisberger's chance to play on Monday night in San Francisco. With a playoff spot all but locked up, the Steelers can afford to rest him if needs be.

That's bittersweet for Batch, who will be thrown to the wolves against one of the NFL's best defenses in 2011. Expect rough sailing for Batch in primetime.

Kyle Orton, Chiefs

There's a little hope here as the Chiefs will likely be down early and forced to throw. What's more, Orton did throw for three touchdowns in Week 4 against the Packers when still with the Broncos.

Having said that, he also tossed three picks and is dealing with a finger injury that may still keep him out of this game. Another week of game-planning for Dom Capers against Orton should be enough to scare you out of this matchup.

Sadly, Bradford has become a regular in this space this season. With very little help on offense and a list of injuries to deal with, Bradford has been one of NFL's worst quarterbacks in 2011.

The Bengals won't make it any easier on him this weekend.

John Skelton, Cardinals

Skelton has, for the most part, looked the part of an NFL quarterback in his five games of playing action this season. He almost threw for three scores and came close to 300 yards last week in San Francisco.

That being said, the Browns are among the top fantasy defenses against the pass this season. Skelton could struggle.

Caleb Hanie, Bears

There's nothing we've seen from Hanie in his three starts to suggest he's even a top-25 fantasy quarterback option. The Seahawks defense has really heated up over the last couple of weeks, too. Avoid Hanie at all costs.
