NFL Picks Week 15: 3 Results You Could Bet Your Life on

Jeff GrantDec 15, 2011

The NFL regular season has just three weeks remaining and sports bettors will start getting more aggressive with their wagers before the playoffs.

Green Bay is expected by many to enter the postseason with a perfect 16-0 record, which has caused many Las Vegas sports books to take down the proposition wager of that actually occurring.

Let's take a look at three things that will happen this week that you could bet your life on.

Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow's Completion Percentage

1 of 3

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been the talk of the sports world this week leading up to his showdown with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Bovada (formerly BoDog sports book) has released a proposition wager concerning Tebow's completion percentage Sunday.

He has completed 48.5 percent of his passes this year, but will be going against the worst pass defense in the league this week.

Fans in the Mile High City will bet the house.

Recommendation: Tim Tebow's completion percentage above 49 percent (Even)

New England Patriots to Score First

2 of 3

There's a great chance that the New England Patriots will receive the opening kickoff, as quarterback Tom Brady will want to get off to a fast start to get the fans out of the game.

Denver's offense has been abysmal in most games in the opening 55 minutes of a game, which suggests that they should want the ball to start the second half.

In Brady we trust.

Recommendation: New England Patriots to score first (-165)

Green Bay Packers to Push Their Record to 14-0

3 of 3

The Green Bay Packers will kick off against the Kansas City Chiefs as the biggest NFL road favorite of the year thus far, currently being asked to lay 14.5 points at Arrowhead Stadium.

Simply picking them to win is a sure-fire winner, but it will cost you.

Playing the Packers on the moneyline is currently minus-900 in most spots, which means that bettors will make $100 for every $900 wagered.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers will probably watch the fourth quarter from the sidelines Sunday.

Recommendation: Green Bay Packers on the moneyline (-900)
