NFL Week 15 Picks: High-Scoring Locks to Fly Past the Over

Michael DixonDec 16, 2011

Lovers of offense are going to enjoy these games. The people making the odds have either not given the offenses enough credit, or are giving the defense far too much respect.

Whatever it is, these clashes are going to give us more than enough offense to comfortably bet the over on.

Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs (O/U 46)

The Packers hit 46 on their own a week ago. Eight of their 13 games in 2011 have gone over 46 combined points. This one will as well.

Their offense is a machine. They don't seem to be slowed down by the fact that the weather is cold. When Greg Jennings got hurt last week, they didn't slow down in any way. There are simply too many weapons for the defense to key in on one or two guys. And of course, the man throwing to those weapons is Aaron Rodgers

On the other end of the ball, the Chiefs are far from a vaunted offense. Still, they do have some players more than capable of making a big play or two. As good as they are, the Packers are vulnerable to that, especially in mop-up time.

Whatever the Packers don't get, the Chiefs will pick up the slack on.

Prediction: Packers 38, Chiefs 13

We're looking at a blowout here. The Saints are red hot. Drew Brees is having one of the best seasons a quarterback has ever had. If Aaron Rodgers weren't playing as well as he is, Brees would be the runaway MVP.

While it's on the road this week, New Orleans is back in the comfort of a dome, where the Saints are nearly unstoppable.

When the Vikings have the ball, they will be going up against a defense that gives up its share of big plays. Against Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson, the Saints will be victimized by the occasional big play.

They won't be tested in this game, but the Saints will allow more than enough points for this one to fly past 51 points.

Prediction: Saints 37, Vikings 20

When the Patriots have the ball, they have the benefit of Tom Brady, who will be throwing to Rob Gronkowski, Wes Welker and the rest of his weapons. This is by far the best offense the Broncos have faced in their recent run of success.

The good news for the Broncos is the Patriots' defense is terrible and riddled with injuries. They will score more than enough points to stay in this one.

Each of these teams will get to 23 points, which obviously means that 46 is a mere formality. Brady and the Patriots will be too much in the end, but the Broncos will do more than enough to pick up the slack and get this game to more than 46 points.

Prediction: Patriots 34, Broncos 24
