Cheyenne Kidd: Jason's 17-Year-Old Daughter Goes to Rehab
Jason Kidd may be less than two weeks away from putting all of his concentration on trying to win back-to-back championships with the Dallas Mavericks, but his focus certainly isn’t with the team today.
Kidd’s 17-year-old daughter, Cheyenne, has checked herself into rehab after suffering a relapse. She had previously been in rehab from the summer all the way up to Thanksgiving.
It’s pretty disturbing to think that a girl who can’t legally vote has been to rehab twice, but that’s where Kidd’s daughter is currently at.
She has accused her father of being a “deadbeat dad” in the past, and it makes you wonder just how closely Kidd is watching his daughter. It’s hard for a single dad to keep an eye on a young and impressionable daughter when you essentially are on the road for half the year. Who knows if she even lives in the state of Texas considering Kidd has played with the Phoenix Suns and New Jersey Nets in the past.
Cheyenne went to Twitter to ensure everyone that she’s just fine:
Yes…. you cant stop asking.. I was in treatment. and Im sober. My life is amazing and I am HAPPY!
The 17-year-old has already modeled in some very risqué pictures for a girl her age, and it makes you wonder where her mother is throughout all this. Jason doesn’t get a free pass, but not a peep about her mother has been uttered to this point.
Here’s to hoping Cheyenne figures everything out this time around and is able to kick whatever substance has gotten her to this point in the first place.
If not, then Kidd is going to be a lot more concerned with his daughter than how he’s going to be able to defend the opposing team’s point guard.
