Spread
New York -7, according to footballlocks.com.
The Giants will struggle to cover the spread—don't bet on them doing it this week. Washington has some offensive swagger back after posting 27 points on New England last week, and New York's D isn't much better, ranking 29th against the pass and 22nd against the run this season.
Over/Under
46.5, according to footballlocks.com.
Both teams combined for 42 points in the first meeting. Expect this matchup to be very similar. The final won't be a 28-14 Redskins advantage, but the two rivals will combine for something in the ballpark of 40 points.
New York Key Injuries
DE Osi Umenyiora (ankle/knee). Questionable and is a long shot to play in Week 15, according to the Newark-Star Ledger.
DE Justin Tuck (toe). Questionable and did not practice on Wednesday.
S Kenny Phillips (knee). Questionable and returned to practice on Wednesday, according to the Newark-Star Ledger.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw (foot). Probable but was held out of practice on Wednesday, according to NFL.com.
Washington Key Injuries
S LaRon Landry (groin). Doubtful and expected to be placed on IR, according to the Washington Post.
DE Stephen Bowen (knee). Questionable and was limited in practice on Wednesday, according to the Washington Post.
LB London Fletcher (ankle). Questionable and was limited in practice on Wednesday, according to the Washington Post.
Fantasy Big Plays
Roy Helu (WAS)—Helu has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of the Redskins' past three games, including 126 yards last week against the Patriots. The rookie back is also a major threat in the passing game out of the backfield, with more than 100 yards receiving the past three weeks combined.
Eli Manning (NYG)—Manning has thrown for at least 400 yards in two out of the past three weeks. He's also tossed seven TDs during that time to just three INTs. The Redskins' mediocre pass defense, ranked 13th in the league, will present him with several opportunities to make plays down the field.
Victor Cruz/Hakeem Nicks (NYG)—Can't go wrong with either one of these guys at WR this weekend. Both have already surpassed 1,000 yards receiving this season and have at least 65 catches. Both have caught at least six touchdowns as well. They'll be big threats in the passing game for the Giants in Week 15.
Keys to Redskins Win
The Redskins must win on the defensive side of the ball. Despite their disappointing record, they play solid defense consistently and can force opposing offenses into mistakes from time to time.
The QB play from Washington has to be game-manager-like for the 'Skins to edge the Giants on the road.
Rookie Ryan Kerrigan made a big defensive play in the teams' Week 1 meeting—the same is necessary for Washington to be successful this time around.
Keys to Giants Win
It's simple for the Giants in Week 15—in order to win, take care of the football. Eli Manning must make smart decisions and minimize risk at home, where New York has been surprisingly susceptible to mistakes.
Defensively, Big Blue needs to contain Roy Helu and force Rex Grossman or John Beck to beat them through the air, which is a long shot.
Prediction
New York 24, Washington 19
