2010-2011 NFL Fantasy Football Season Comes to a Close
If you're a fantasy football owner, you're interest is focused in one of two places this week: A) Who to place in the key spots for some extra points or B) Fantasy football? That ended for me in late October!
Either way, I entered this season never being a legitimate factor in any fantasy league...EVER! A typical season consisted of injuries, draft busts and poor maneuvering. I have spent countless dollars and hours trying to configure the best draft and best line ups.
Even more hours looking up team stats, trends and predictions, just to sign a bottom dollar running back to throw into my flex spot. It was and is a never ending, almost vicious, cycle.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This year, however, my luck has certainly swung as I enter this week with a top seed playing a friend whom I already beat twice.
Coming into the year I was uncertain about what would transpire. My lineup consisted of: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Forte, Beanie Wells, BenJarvis Green-Ellis, Andre Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, Dustin Keller, Robbie Gould and the NYG defense.
As the year went on, I traded Keller and some bench guys for Gronkowski and Cedric Benson. I followed that trade up by trading Benson, Fred Davis and Aaron Rodgers for Eli Manning, Frank Gore and Victor Cruz.
Understandably my brethren were struck with confusion and the only words for me were, "You're an idiot!!" If you agree with them I will tell you, I got a solid QB-WR combo and one of the best backs in the league for basically one player.
My roster now looks like: Eli Manning, Frank Gore, Beanie Wells, Marion Barber (FA), Brandon Lloyd, Victor Cruz, Rob Gronkowski, Sebastian Janikowski and the Bears defense.
Minus the injury to Matt Forte, my season has been one for my personal books.
I'm sure by now (if you haven't already left the page) you're wondering why in the hell I wrote this article.
Well, I just want to show you unfortunate fantasy owners (like me) that the fantasy gods can shine their rays of light on you every once in awhile. Sometimes that late bench player actually turns out to be something and sometimes the injury bug avoids your locker room completely.
Maybe this is a one-and-done for me, but it's well worth the ride.
Keep playin' fellas because even if you lose (and lose, and lose, and lose) there is always next year!
Best of luck to any owners still in season!!!
