NFL Week 15 Picks: Looking at Heavy Favorites That Will Stomp Opposition

Chris TrapassoDec 15, 2011

For as many games that'll go down to the final minutes, we'll have just as many blowouts in Week 15.

It's just the nature of the NFL

Actually, the slate of games over the last few weeks have produced a great deal of tightly-contested affairs.

Let's check out the most lopsided games we'll witness this weekend.

New Orleans over Minnesota

Have you watched Drew Brees?

He's got four straight 300-yard games with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions.

How about the Vikings' secondary?

Tim Tebow and Matt Stafford had 14 incompletions between them with four touchdowns and no picks against Minnesota over the last two weeks.

That should be enough to tell you how this game will go.

Oh, and it's in a dome.

Brees works wonders indoors.

Cincinnati over St. Louis

The Rams have the worst run defense in football, a unit that allows nearly 160 yards on the ground per game. It makes them a candidate for a blowout nearly every week.

Cincinnati's coaching staff will feed punishing running back Cedric Benson, who has a very similar running style to that of Marshawn Lynch, who averaged five yards per carry against the Rams last week.

The Bengals defense hasn't played as well over the last month, but they've faced offenses far more threatening than the Rams' inept unit.

This one could get really ugly.

Green Bay over Kansas City

Although Kyle Orton will give the Chiefs somewhat of a spark on offense, there's no way they'll be able to stick with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

It's that simple.

I wouldn't be shocked if Orton throws a few interception against the league's most turnover-happy secondary.

He tossed three TD's in an earlier meeting with the Pack, but did have three picks as well.
