NFL Week 15 Picks: Games Too Close to Call

Wes ODonnellDec 15, 2011

There are seven NFL games this week with spreads larger than seven points. There are also two games with no spread at all and seven more games separated by less than one touchdown.

While every game will have a winner (barring a ridiculous tie), some are simply too close to call.

Here are a few games that are exactly that.

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears (-3.5)

Injuries have decimated the Chicago Bears, and they are riding an ugly three-game losing streak right now.

Seattle, on the other hand, is the definition of an enigma. One week they look great and the next you believe they could be beaten by a college team.

Both teams are desperately clinging to fading postseason hopes, and neither can afford a loss.

You'd love to believe that Chicago will rise to the occasion with home-field advantage, but this one is simply too close to call.

Detroit Lions at Oakland Raiders (-1.5)

Playoff implications litter this Black Hole showdown, and neither team has much experience in the area.

The Raiders have been without their best player for nearly 55 days now, and the Lions continue to struggle with health in their backfield.

Neither team can afford a loss if they want to make their postseason dreams come true. And nothing can be drawn from the home field/road team situation with these two.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (OFF)

This is a battle for last place in the AFC East, and that is a mighty, mighty fall for the once-hopeful Buffalo Bills.

But injuries, poor execution and a defense that was never very good have taken over in Buffalo.

The Dolphins are operating with an interim head coach, and that means every man on the roster is out for No. 1: themselves.

I wouldn't touch this game with a 100-yard pole.

Pittsburgh Steelers at San Francisco 49ers (OFF)

A battle between two 10-3 teams hoping for better seeding makes this a can't-miss game.

The Steelers cannot gain ground on Baltimore in the division race unless the Ravens lose, but they need to keep pace all the same.

The 49ers dropped into a tie with the Saints, but they hold the tiebreaker as of now.

This game between two stout defenses is as close as any game this season.
