Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants: TV Schedule, Radio, Game Time and More
An old rivalry is renewed this week, as the Washington Redskins (4-9) take on the New York Giants (7-6).
The Redskins come into this game having lost eight of their last nine games. If it wasn’t for an impressive 23-17 victory in Seattle, they would be on an impressive nine-game losing streak. However, while the Redskins are struggling, the Giants are coming into this game having won a crucial game on the road in Dallas last week.
The Giants need a victory this week, to stay atop in the NFC East division.

Who Might Not Play for Washington
S Oshiomogho Atogwe: Atogwe has a number of leg injuries that has him probable for Sunday’s game against the Giants. However, those leg injuries had Atogwe on the field for a limited amount of plays last Sunday.
QB Rex Grossman: Grossman is probable for Sunday’s game with an undisclosed injury.
Who Might Not Play for New York
DE Osi Umenyiora: Umenyiora is questionable this week with an ankle injury. Osi did not practice on Wednesday and his status is up in the air this week.
S Kenny Phillips: Phillips is questionable for this week with a knee injury. Phillips sat out practice on Wednesday and he could sit out Sunday’s game.
DE Justin Tuck: Tuck is questionable for this week’s game with a toe injury. His toe injury may not make him miss Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
Fantasy Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em
Start ‘Em - New York Giants QB Eli Manning: Manning is coming into this week’s game after throwing for 400 and two touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys. This week, Manning will have another game where he throws for over 300 yards with three touchdowns.
Sit ‘Em - Washington Redskins QB Rex Grossman: Grossman has been mediocre since he took over as the starting quarterback against the Dallas Cowboys. In his last four games, he has an alarming high touchdown-to-interception ratio with six touchdowns to five interceptions.
Start ‘Em - Washington Redskins RB Roy Helu: Helu has seen an increased workload in his last three games. In those three games, Helu has rushed for more than 100 yards in everyone while scoring two touchdowns. This week against a Giants defense that is giving up 128 yards per game to running backs, Helu will have another game where he rushes for more than 100 yards.
Key Matchup - New York Giants Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw vs. the Redskins Rushing Defense: The Giants have been awful at running the ball this year, ranking dead last in the NFL. They need to have a big day from Jacobs and Bradshaw to take the pressure off of Manning and the passing game.
If the Giants can get their running game going on Sunday, they will have an easy time dominating the Redskins at home.
On the Hot Seat - Washington Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan: Shanahan has seen this Redskins season start out great, winning three of their first four. However, since losing eight of their last nine games, the Redskins coach may get fired at the end of the year.
Prediction
The Redskins have played their division opponents tough this year. Three weeks ago they lost in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys, while only losing by seven to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5. They have beaten the Giants earlier this year.
The Giants will air it out against this Redskins passing defense that gave up 352 passing yards to Tom Brady and the Patriots last week.
The Redskins keep this game close, but do not have enough to pull off the upset this week.
