Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups: Felix Jones and Other Injury Replacements

Zach KruseDec 14, 2011

The following players are all worth looks as injury replacements on the Week 15 waiver wire:

Felix Jones, Cowboys

Banished to second string after a rash of injuries and lack of production, Jones is back in the starter's role after DeMarco Murray went out for the season with an ankle injury. He picked a good week to regain the starting spot, too; the Cowboys take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who happen to be the worst fantasy defense against running backs this season.

James Jones/Donald Driver/Randall Cobb, Packers

Take your pick with one of these three. No. 1 receiver Greg Jennings was lost for two to three weeks to a sprained knee, so the Packers passing offense now has less mouths to feed.

Driver might be the safest bet of the three, as he's starting to heat up over the past two weeks. Jones has been up and down all season, but has the most potential for a big game or two.

Cobb, the Packers' second-round pick in 2011, is the wildcard of the bunch. One more win or a 49ers loss guarantees the Packers home-field advantage, which could mean they give the young Cobb more looks in the offense.

Chris Ivory, Saints

Mark Ingram is dealing with a toe injury that kept him out last week, but it's possible he could come back in Week 15. Keep your eye on that injury situation.

If Ingram can't go again, Ivory becomes an interesting option. He rushed for over 50 yards and got 13 carries last week against the Titans despite the Saints having both Pierre Thomas and Darren Sproles as other options.

Marion Barber/Kahili Bell, Bears

Barber is obviously the goat from the Bears' overtime loss to the Broncos, but he still rushed for 108 yards and a score. We'll have to see how the bone-headed mistake to go out of bounds and the overtime fumble effects his playing time. If there's a drop off, Bell will be the one who benefits. He had 14 touches for 64 yards against the Broncos.
