WWE TLC 2011: 5 Matches We'd Rather See

T.J. McaloonDec 14, 2011

The "Tables, Ladders and Chairs" pay-per-view this Sunday is stocked with a good card. However, the card could be a lot better.

It does have some matches to look forward to, like the United States Title Match between Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder and Randy Orton vs. Wade Barrett. However, they have swung and missed on the majority of the card.

There are five other matches that would make this card a lot better. These matches should have been booked, and would have made this rival "Money in the Bank" as the best PPV of the year.

Divas Title Chairs Match: Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix

1 of 5

First off, where is the Divas Title match on the TLC card?

Usually the Divas match is a time when you use the bathroom or hit the refreshments. However, their match at Survivor Series was one of the better matches at Survivor Series.

These two Divas could put on a better match at TLC. With the addition of chairs to the match, it would give this heated feud a new element to take it to the next level. With Eve trying to prove that she isn't just a "Barbie Doll Diva" and Beth using brute force, these two would put together a hard-hitting chairs match.

World Heavyweight Title Tables Match Mark Henry vs. Daniel Bryan

2 of 5

The Mark Henry vs. Big Show Chairs match is going to be their worst in their long, drawn-out feud.

The match that would be better, is with Henry facing Daniel Bryan. In this match, Bryan does not have to cash in his "Money in the Bank" brief case.

Having this match as a tables match, they can play off of Henry's strength and Bryan's speed. Henry can spend the match trying to launch Bryan into a number of tables. While Bryan can use his speed to allude the tables, while catching Henry off guard to send him through a table.

This match may still happen, if Bryan decides to cash in his MITB case at TLC.

Tag Team Championship Ladder Match Air Boom vs. Primo & Hunico

3 of 5

There is only one ladder match on the TLC card, which features two of the oldest wrestlers in the WWE in Triple H and Kevin Nash. How did the WWE miss the ball in making this their Ladder Match?

Instead the WWE should have the tag team titles defended, with four men that can have the best tag team ladder match in the history of the WWE.

Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston, Primo and Hunico can all fly. They would have so many great moments in this match from their death-defying high spots. These two teams could make for a match that would propel these teams like when Edge and Christian faced the Hardy Boys for the first time in a ladder match.

WWE Title TLC Match The Miz vs. CM Punk

4 of 5

The match at TLC has Alberto Del Rio involved with The Miz and CM Punk. They need to drop Del Rio and just make this a one-on-one match.

With Del Rio involved, this match is going to have parts where it slows down to a crawl. Plus it adds in for a chance for a screwy finish that sees CM Punk lose his title.

If they would have Miz vs. Punk, it could be their first match in a long run that leads them up until WrestleMania XXVIII. At 'Mania, they could have their final blow-off match for the WWE Title.

Intercontinental Title Triple Threat Match Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T vs. Sheamus

5 of 5

The match at TLC is Rhodes vs. Booker for the Intercontinental Title. However, with Booker's age and being out of active wrestling for quite sometime it will lead to a lackluster match.

Instead, the WWE should add in a proven superstar like Sheamus to this match. Sheamus is one of the popular faces in the company and has been stagnant in his role on television. Putting him in this match could kick-start a run that leads him into a big match at WrestleMania XXVIII.

Sheamus doesn't need to win this match, but having him in this match would take the pressure off of Booker to put on a great 10-15minute match.
