January Transfer Scenario: David Villa Will NOT Go to the Premier League
Pep Guardiola (FC Barcelona) declared that David Villa will not leave Barca during the January Transfer Window. The declarations by Guardiola were made on the eve of the FIFA Club World Cup match between Barca and Al-Sadd.
Guardiola responded to rumors published by Marca (a Spanish Online magazine) and reported in The Mirror concerning Villa. The rumors were published by Marca when Villa was not included in the starting line up El Clasico match between Barca and Real Madrid.
According to Marca and The Mirror, Villa is being sought by Premier League teams such as Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Guardiola accused Marca of fabricating lies and said that all of the players were part of the Barca scenario.

The idea of David Villa leaving FC Barcelona for the Premier League is ridiculous. The magazine Marca (it has been read by the underwriter many times) is biased in favor of Real Madrid.
David Villa is one of the most valuable players for Barca. Villa participated in the UEFA Champions League helping Barca win the award for 2011.
He also helped Barca win trophies for the Spanish Super Cup and UEFA Super Cup. In the current La Liga season (published by ESPN), Villa has had 31 starts, nine substitutions, 18 goals, four assists, 119 shots, 49 shots on goals, 19 fouls commited, 15 fouls served, two yellow cards and one red card in all matches.
It remains to be seen whether Marca is right or wrong although the idea (of Villa leaving Barca) has been rejected by the underwriter.
