WWE Rumors: Undertaker, Triple H, SmackDown Spoilers and Wednesday's WWE News

Adam WellsDec 14, 2011

WWE is in a transition period, though it doesn't really seem to be aware of it. It is the perfect time to start making other stars besides the usual crew -- Cena, Punk, Triple H -- and it is more and more apparent each day that nothing will change the status quo.

But at least TLC will have a different feel to it because Cena is not in the main event, or even on the show for that matter, and a few wrestlers that deserve to be pushed will at least get a match on the show to display their abilities.

That little rant aside, it is time to dive into the latest news, rumors and information leaking out of the wacky world of professional wrestling. We have big scoops today, as well as analysis on all of it.

If you have praise, hatred, questions or anything else you want to get out, throw us a comment down below.

THE UNDERTAKER'S WRESTLEMANIA 28 OPPONENT REVEALED

Arguably the second-most important match of WrestleMania 28 will be the next challenger for The Streak. We know The Undertaker is going to wrestle on the show, but until now we weren't sure against who. The answer is (drumroll please)...Triple H.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Undertaker and Triple H again, seriously?

Our Take: Considering the options on the table, Triple H is the only person available worthy of wrestling The Undertaker. I am not a huge fan of these two hooking up at 'Mania for the third time, but I guess we have past evidence to tell us that it will be a good match.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Dead Men Walking

Love it or hate it, The Streak has become one of the most important stories that WWE has created. I am sure that it was an unintentional thing that someone just pointed out a few years ago, and now we are at a point where no one should ever break it.

WWE POSSIBLY BACKDOORING JOHN CENA INTO TLC MAIN EVENT

While John Cena is not currently on the TLC card, there is reportedly an idea floating around to put him as a special referee in the Dolph Ziggler-Zack Ryder match with a stipulation that he could somehow earn a shot in the main event.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Has Vince McMahon lost his mind?

Our Take: It seems that way. Why else would you wait to put your biggest star in the main event of a pay-per-view after the event has started, eliminating any potential buys you would have gotten if you would have announced him in the match two weeks ago.

Hype Meter: 2 out of 5 Lame Vinny Mac Ideas That Blow-Up In His Face

I am hoping that Cena is just kept off the show because at this point his presence means nothing, there has been no build for him to get any kind of match, and I want to see how a show comes off without him on it.

CONFUSION SURROUNDING LITA ARREST

If you didn't hear, Lita was arrested over the weekend for speeding and having a suspended license. Jim Ross tweeted that the whole thing was a mistake and that there was a computer glitch saying her license was suspended when it wasn't.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Why don't my cops' computers ever have glitches?

Our Take: When you have some level of fame, it is more likely that you are going to get away with things. Perhaps this is true and there really was a glitch, but usually that is just an excuse to cover someone's butt.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Awesome Mugshot Photos

I have always found Lita to be an underrated WWE diva because she was often overshadowed by Trish Stratus, but looking at her mugshot picture, I may never see her in the same way again.

PUZZLING MAIN EVENT TAG TEAM MATCH HAS BAD FINISH

The main event of this week's show will feature Randy Orton and Zack Ryder teaming up to take on Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett. That sounds like a smart match on paper, but the finish with Orton pinning Ziggler has me a little confused.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Why would a champion be pinned clean by someone other than his PPV opponent?

Our Take: It would have made sense to put Ryder over Ziggler in the match just to put it in the heads of the fans that we could see it happen at TLC. Orton going over Ziggler is just another case of bad booking. Of all the wrestlers in this match, Orton was the last one that needed a pin.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Lame Michael Cole Nicknames For Randy Orton

While I don't care for the finish of the match, everything that I have read says that this is the best match of the show, and considering the roll that Orton and Ziggler have been on, I am interested to see how this whole match works.

JINDER MAHAL SHOULD START LOOKING FOR WORK ELSEWHERE

We saw the return of Jinder Mahal on Raw when he was destroyed by Sheamus. He came back on SmackDown to get destroyed by Sheamus again, but he did get some offense in by attacking Ted Dibiase beforehand.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Is there any reason Jinder Mahal hasn't already been fired?

Our Take: I don't actively root for anyone to get fired, but when the writing is on the wall it is hard to ignore. Mahal might be able to find his legs in a company that better understands how to utilize its undercard workers.

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Brogue Kicks To The Head

Mahal is young enough (25) and has enough potential that has gone unfulfilled in WWE because they have no what they are doing. But in the end, he will likely be much happier than he is right now. He won't make as much money, but he won't be getting destroyed on a weekly basis.
