Michigan Football Recruiting 2012: 2 Needs the Wolverines Must Address

The Michigan Wolverines are in a great place right now, with Brady Hoke in his first season as the head coach. They went 10-2 this season and reached the BCS Sugar Bowl. That's the first time they have won double-digit games or reached a BCS bowl since 2006.

The sky is the limit or this team, and many believe it won't take long before they are once again at the top of college football.

With recruiting taking place right now, Michigan currently has 23 commits and a solid recruiting class. Although, there are some positions that they need to address.

Here are a few.

Quarterback

Denard Robinson will likely return for his senior season, but after that, who takes over? Devin Gardner is still on the roster, but he would then be a senior with no starting experience.

Michigan hasn't landed a quarterback yet but have extended an offer to highly-recruited Guner Kiel.  They have freshman Russell Bellomy, who committed last season, but I'm not sure he's the guy to take the Wolverines where they need to go. He's a great athlete and has a lot of upside, but he needs experience to fulfill his raw talent. Kiel could fix this problem in a heartbeat, but with a ton of offers thrown his way, you can't really count on it.

Wide Receiver

Michigan really lacks in this department and have a few of their top receivers leaving this year. Junior Hemingway is the top receiver on this team with 636 receiving yards, but he's a senior. Kevin Koger is also on his way out. Vincent Smith and Toy Roundtree are both juniors.

The Wolverines have received a commitment from Amara Darboh, but that's not nearly good enough to fix the holes at this position.

Michigan does have top receivers in Dorial Green-Beckham and Jordan Peyton still considering the university. Landing either one of those receivers would really help this offense.
