WWE: Triple H Sets the Foundation for a WrestleMania Rematch with Undertaker

Colin StoneDec 13, 2011

At last night's Slammy Awards, Triple H made a brief comment after receiving the OMG Moment of the Year Award for Tombstoning Undertaker at this year's WrestleMania.

Hunter said:

"

"First of all, the OMG Moment was not what you saw - it was shortly after that when the epic match between the Undertaker and myself at WrestleMania was over that the Oh My God moment took place. It was when the Undertaker, for the first time in his career, could not leave the ring under his own power. He was carried from that ring. Only one man walked out - and it was me. 9 months later, the Undertaker is no more. The OMG Moment was at WrestleMania when the Streak came to an end."

A more than interesting comment, made all the more interesting by the fact that HHH decided to talk about 'Taker first, rather than his upcoming ladder match with Kevin Nash.

So what does this mean? Was Triple H simply stating fact, or is there something more to it?

Personally, I think this is laying the ground for a rematch next April.

It looks likely that WrestleMania 28 will be 'Taker's last match due to his health problems and age, and competing at the biggest event in wrestling would also end the Streak nicely at 20-0.

There have been many suggestions over who the Undertaker should face, with names like Wade Barrett, Kane and even CM Punk being bandied about.

But I think Triple H, despite not being my first choice, would still be a good pick for the Undertaker to have his last match against.

I can't see Undertaker losing either. 20-0 looks far better than 19-1.

So what do you think? Was Triple H setting the foundation for a WrestleMania rematch? Or was he simply passing comment?

Sound off in the comments below.

And that's the bottom line, cos Colin Stone said so!
