Jerry Sandusky Hearing: Twitter Reaction and Updates to Preliminary Hearings

Donald WoodDec 13, 2011

It’s going to be yet another sad day in Happy Valley for the alleged victims of sex crimes at the hands of former Nittany Lions defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.

Sandusky will have his preliminary hearing held at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13. We can’t forget that the defense team had the option of waiving this hearing, but made the choice to go through with it.

Sandusky is charged with over 50 counts of sexual indecency with children. Today’s preliminary hearing is the first step in deciding if the former coach is really guilty of these crimes.

Well it looks like Jerry Sandusky and his defense team had a change of heart and decided to forego the preliminary hearings and take this matter right to court.

This could have been waived at any time before this, but to make everyone prepare for this only to have it be waived at the last moment is a ploy by the defense to stall the prosecution.
