NFL Week 15 Picks: Green Bay Packers and Division Champs Ready to Roll

Josh MartinDec 13, 2011

Christmas has come early for a select few teams in the NFL, specifically those who've played "nice" enough on the field to have already sewn up their division crowns heading into Week 15.

That said, with playoff seeding hanging in the balance, these three teams still have plenty to play for on Sunday and will show as much.

Hmmm...let's see here.

The Packers are 13-0, coming off a 46-16 shellacking of the Raiders with quarterback (Aaron Rodgers) enjoying a season for the ages. They can lock up the top seed in the NFC with a win.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, are 5-8 after a 37-10 loss to the Jets, just fired their head coach (Todd Haley) and rely on one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL (Tyler Palko).

Need I say more?

New Orleans Saints

Assuming Green Bay doesn't bomb from here on out, the Saints will be left to duke it out with the 49ers for the two-seed in the conference.

But while San Francisco is busy battling the Steelers by the Bay, New Orleans will take its act to Minnesota to take on a decidedly more agreeable Minnesota squad. Drew Brees and company know better than most the value of a first-round bye and a playoff game at home (see: 2011 playoffs), so don't expect them to give anything but their best effort against the hapless Vikings.

Houston Texans

Houston, we don't have a problem.

Or at least that's what TJ Yates has led the viewing public to believe. Regardless of your opinion of Yates, it's difficult to imagine the Texans doing anything other than winning when the Panthers come to town on Sunday.

Frankly, Yates probably wouldn't have to throw the ball once for Houston to win. So long as he's capable of handing the ball off to Arian Foster and Ben Tate, he can simply sit back and soak up his team's AFC South title while watching his 'backs run roughshod over the NFL's 24th-ranked rush defense.
