WWE Slammy Awards 2011 Results: CM Punk Brings Home Gold, Masked Kane Returns

Kaleb KelchnerDec 12, 2011

It was a wild night of action in the WWE Universe, as the annual Slammy Awards served as the Raw go-home show for WWE TLC 2011.  There were guest appearances, big wins and a very shocking return!

Jim Ross' dance moves in the Michael Cole Challenge won him the "Tell Me I Did Not Just See That Moment of the Year" Slammy.  This led to a horrible rap battle with Michael Cole, where Jim Ross legitimately forgot his lines, then did a spinarooni.

Big Show accepted the "Holy $#!^ Moment of the Year" Slammy for Mark Henry and him imploding the ring via superplex.

Road Dogg Jesse James presented CM Punk with the "Pipebomb of the Year" Slammy, and then thanked John Laurinaitis and played a Johnny Ace highlight package that was absolutely hilarious, featuring a younger Funkman, with blonde hair and a skateboard.  Between Road Dogg being gold on the mic, and Punk dropping pipebombs, this was one of the better moments of the night.

Lita returned to WWE television to present Kelly Kelly with the "Divalicious Moment of the Year" Slammy, for her winning the WWE Divas Championship.

Triple H won the "OMG Moment of the Year" Slammy, which is a whole lot like the "Holy $#!^ Moment of the Year" Slammy, for Tombstoning the Undertaker at WrestleMania.  Triple H returned and cut a promo on Taker, mentioning how he couldn't walk out on his own strength.  They managed to tie in Kevin Nash as well.

Zack Ryder won the "Trending Superstar of the Year" Slammy by being the first to trend on Twitter out of Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, and Cody Rhodes.  Dolph Ziggler won a Fatal 4-Way between the four of them, and then took Ryder's Slammy.

John Cena and the Rock won "Game Changer of the Year" for the announcement of their match at WrestleMania.  Cena took the chance to cut a promo on the Rock, who wasn't there to accept the award in person, or via satellite.

Snooki won "A-Lister of the Year," and accepted via satellite, she also endorsed Zack Ryder!

Rey Mysterio presented the "Superstar of the Year" Slammy, and the winner was none other than CM Punk.  Sadly, Punk was beaten down by The Miz and Alberto Del Rio earlier in the night, and couldn't accept the award.  John Laurinaitis came out and accepted it for him.  I wanted a speech.

Finally, in the main event of the evening, John Cena faced Mark Henry, but the match didn't play out quite as anyone was expecting.  Cena was struggling to beat Mark Henry, and was crushed with the World's Strongest Slam.  Mark Henry was trying to recover, and the lights went out as flames shot up from the entrance ramp and Kane's music played.

Sure enough, the big red machine made his way to the ring, wearing a strange, grey metallic mask.  Mark Henry escaped, and a dazed John Cena stood to his feet, only to be choke-slammed by Kane.  Kane then hit his pyro in the corners, and removed the strange mask to reveal his old mask underneath as the show came to a close.
