Tim Tebow: Pastor of Broncos QB Truly Believes a High Power Is on His Side
America is struggling to figure out how in the world Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos have won six games in a row and nobody has a decent answer.
Well, everybody but Tim Tebow’s pastor.
Pastor Wayne Hanson runs Summit Church in Castle Rock, CO and it’s where Tim’s dad frequently speaks. Hanson has a strong belief that Tebow’s incredible success can be attributed to a higher power (courtesy of TMZ.com):

""It's not luck. Luck isn't winning 6 games in a row. It's favor. God's favor. God has blessed his hard work."

The interviewer went on to ask if Tebow would be winning games if he didn’t have such strong faith and the pastor responded: “No, of course not.”
The keyword Tebow has used weeks after week is “believe." He has supreme confidence in his abilities and if he thinks God gives him that extra boost every week then more power to him.
It almost reminds me of some sort of placebo effect where Tebow believes he has some sort of spiritual advantage over the rest of the competition, and uses that as his fuel to never give up, no matter how bleak the situation may be. He can go 3-for-18 in the first three quarters like he did on Sunday against a stout Chicago Bears defense only to go 18-of-24 with 191 yards, one touchdown and no picks in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Assuming Ryan Braun took steroids, does he not have a slight mental edge over the competition knowing he has an advantage over the competition? It’s the same with Tebow—just check out this quote postgame Sunday:
""If you believe in unbelievable things, sometimes they become possible."
"
When The New York Times called Tebow the Mile High Messiah on Sunday before his latest 13-10 OT win over the Bears, maybe they weren’t too far off.
Believing is half the battle and if Tebow needs his faith to believe, more power to him.
