Tiki Barber: Former NFL Running Back to Carry Packages Instead of Pigskins
Former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber once made a handsome living off delivering the football to the end zone in the NFL. Now, it appears as though he'll be expanding his repertoire.
To put it nicely, of course.
According to FOX Sports, Barber will take his talents to the parcel delivery business as a consultant with First Global Xpress, a company that is in international shipping.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This, after his attempt at an NFL comeback this summer fell flat, with few teams offering Barber so much as an audition in training camp. Barber had also sought to lead a coalition of NFL retirees to set up a mentorship program for young, aspiring athletes.
Though, with the way Barber's career has turned out, he might not be the best one to offer advice. Barber left football after the 2006 season at the age of 31. At the time, he was at the peak of his game, coming off five consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons and three Pro Bowl appearances. The Giants went on to win the Super Bowl without his services the very next year.
Meanwhile, Barber dove head-first into a promising career as a broadcaster, splitting time between NBC and FOX on TV and his weekly radio show on Sirius.
Then came his affair with his college intern mistress-turned-fiancee and the attendant divorce proceedings with his wife, which dried up Barber's bank accounts in a hurry. Hence, the attempted-but-failed comeback and his new gig as a pseudo-postal worker, all means of paying the bills that continue to pile up on his doorstep.
Barber's situation is something of a sad development, to be sure, though hardly surprising given how many cautionary tales of financial woe have been birthed from the ranks of professional sports.
Still, wouldn't it be fun to see Barber at your door, dressed in official garb, to drop off those fine wines you ordered from Italy last week?
If he does, be sure to tip him. I hear he could use the extra cash.
