Tom Brady Bill O'Brien Fight Video: Sideline Spat Will Prove to Be Meaningless
Tempers flare in the NFL, especially after a mistake. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was livid with his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Bill O'Brien after throwing a pick in the end zone in Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.
To say that Brady and O'Brien had a heated exchange would be an understatement. Both men tore into each other after the interception to such a degree that other members of the Patriots coaching staff, including Bill Belichick, had to hold O'Brien back and lead him away from Brady.
But to assume that this is a sign of trouble for the Patriots offense would be an overreaction. Of course Brady was angry that he threw the interception, and it's clear that O'Brien and his playcalling are responsible for it to a degree.

O'Brien, also, was furious that Brady would assign him so much of the blame and was also just as disappointed about the interception even occurring in the first place.
Exchanges like this happen all the time between players and coaches, both on the sidelines and in practices. It's never made a big deal of unless the cameras catch it.
But there's little to see here, ultimately. The Patriots are an offensive juggernaut, and even the best quarterbacks are going to get picked every once in a while.
The Patriots won, Brady's still one of the league's greatest passers and his coordinator and coach is still one of the best offensive minds in the game.
It's more likely that Brady and O'Brien themselves are already over it, chalking the confrontation up as just a simple byproduct of what is, inherently, an aggressive and emotional game.
