Kevin Kolb Injury: Update on Arizona Cardinals Star's Head Injury
Does anything seem weird about Kevin Kolb not being out on the field and John Skelton playing quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals?
That’s what is happening right now as Kolb has left the game against the San Francisco 49ers with an apparent head injury, according to Matt Maiocco, and Skelton has taken over.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kolb missed four games while he was dealing with toe and foot injuries for most of November, and Skelton filled in for him just fine, going 3-1 as the starter.
The Cardinals don’t have much, if any, hope for the postseason this year, so resting a quarterback they paid a fortune for after he’s been banged up again is smart.
Skelton may not be the long-term answer, but he certainly will be able to fill in ably for a few games.
Fantasy Impact
Kolb has been a huge disappointment this season for fantasy owners and shouldn’t be owned except in two-quarterback and deep leagues.
Skelton has little fantasy value and should not be picked up even if Kolb is out for an extended period of time.
Devastation Scale – 2
Unless this is a long-term head injury, Kolb is going to be the quarterback of this franchise for years to come. The Cardinals paid a ton for him and he commands a hefty salary right now, so they pretty much have their hand forced.
But this season is over for Arizona, so having Kolb out there isn’t important. They can lose games, get a better draft pick and be better off next season when they could actually make the playoffs.
Timeline for Return
Kolb is questionable to return.
